Something about human nature - I'm always learning about us. If you just read God's Word and obey it, there's no reason for secrecy. It's out in the open. However, if you pick and choose what you will and will not obey - you place yourself in a position of having to either defend your position with intimidation (because scripture won't help you) or, you will have to keep your sin a secret from those who love the Lord and love you. Or, there is always the other alternative.....making sure you don't "run in to" those who would question your actions based upon the knowledge that you call yourself a Christian.
Accountability. The Apostles made sure to warn us that we need to be accountable to the Body of Christ.......and, we are not in this modern world - we each have our "own" religion - our "own" relationship with God......but the truth is none of that is found anywhere in scripture.
Matthew 12:36But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.Matthew 12:35-37 (in Context) Matthew 12 (Whole Chapter)
Romans 14:12So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.Romans 14:11-13 (in Context) Romans 14 (Whole Chapter)
Hebrews 13:17Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.Hebrews 13:16-18 (in Context) Hebrews 13 (Whole Chapter)
Who has the "rule over you"? To whom are you accountable? What's that? You don't answer to anybody? How so? With what authority do you do this? Do you have a special arrangement with God over your salvation which allows you to ignore His counsel and do as you please?
It's really heavy today especially, since we have gotten so far away from how we are supposed to live, and since we feel we are "special" just because we are "Americans" living in this rich land. But, all of that is fixing to dissappear from sight, and we will be in worse conditiion than the 3rd World countries soon. We feel like if we can "afford" it, then it's no one's business what we do or where we go......that's not what God said.
1 Thessalonians 5:10-12 (King James Version)
10Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
11Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
12And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
I know this sounds foreign to you.....because we don't believe that anyone is over us in the Lord, and can admonish us.....we have our "own" relationships with Jesus, afforded to us by our denominations, and we don't have to follow the rules everyone else follows to get in. But, there it is in the scripture, proof positive that we are under those who are over us in the Lord, and they are qualified and ordered to admonish us when we disobey.....amen. What we do here in this place is, when a preacher or someone from the church comes to us to "admonish" us - we just quit going to that church and ignore that person, or those persons......it's that simple. And, since lightning doesn't strike us, we believe God is allright with it, too.
I pity the souls who preach "once-saved-always-saved" because they cannot back it up, and in the day of adversity, they will be let down, even themselves. They have taken scripture and twisted it and maneuvered it to say what they want it to say, instead doing what God said to do in the first place.
Proverbs 28:13He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
As we start this new week, we must understand that it's what God says that counts, not what we perceive of what He says, or what we accept of what He says, or what we understand of what He says.........because He will gladly come to whomever seeks Him with their whole heart and He will give them His Word with their understanding opened.......He is faithful. No excuses.
In Jesus Name, amen.

Matthew 5:27Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:Matthew 5:26-28 (in Context) Matthew 5 (Whole Chapter)
Matthew 5:28But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.Matthew 5:27-29 (in Context) Matthew 5 (Whole Chapter)
Matthew 5:32But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.Matthew 5:31-33 (in Context) Matthew 5 (Whole Chapter)
Matthew 19:9And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.Matthew 19:8-10 (in Context) Matthew 19 (Whole Chapter)
Tiger Woods....spotlighted .just because he has attained such a high status in the world's eyes........
The world loves adultery. From cartoons on up to the top Hollywood productions - adultery and fornication are the favorite themes.......yet, when one of their sacred cows - who give them pages of media feed and lots of dollars in their pockets.....falls from grace to the point of getting careless and going public....THEN it's wrong.
Think about it people - this is not a godly nation - it is a nation full of sin and selfishness......it is a nation that won't even let prayer in schools and gives more allegiance to pagan religions than to Jesus Christ. Yet, when it will pay for them - they get on a stump and shout "morals....morals".
The truth is that Tiger Woods messed up - he went outside of his marriage to dally and got caught. "Everyone" else on the tour "does it", but he, got caught. That's the rule of law with adulterers and womanizers......"don't get caught".
Who in the media or on the Golf Tour or anywhere else in the world....can cast the first stone?
There's really only one answer for Tiger Woods and for any other "lowlier" man or woman
on the face of this earth.....if he has committed adultery -
2 Chronicles 7:14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.2 Chronicles 7:13-15 (in Context) 2 Chronicles 7 (Whole Chapter)
Note that the verse says "which are called by my name",...so step one is to find out how to be a person "called by His name:". People who are "called by His name" will be those who come in the "Door" and don't try to get in any other way....
John 10:1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.John 10:1-3 (in Context) John 10 (Whole Chapter)
John 10:2But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.John 10:1-3 (in Context) John 10 (Whole Chapter)

1 Adultery is a sin like any other sin - except for that Proverbs 6 says:
32But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.
33A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.
Therefore, the sinner must repent before God and be delivered from the sin - and must live holy after that. It's very simple. Now, Mr. Tiger has said that he is going to do his very best to be a good husband and father like his family deserves him to be. If he follows the Acts 2:38 salvation formula by which the first church entered into covenant with Jesus, and if he repents and obeys God from now on, he has a chance......but if he tries to do it on his own with his own understanding of things.....he will fall again and again till he loses everything.
I choose to pray for Mr. Tiger Woods - because I love people who have committed adultery, and I know how devastating it can be for the family - and how hard it is to forgive it. I also know how hard it is to trust a person after they have committed adultery - especially in a relationship that is not centered in Jesus Christ. I also choose to believe the Bible and I understand that what God has said is Truth - and that anyone who entertains sin for a moment can wind up entertaining and committing adultery and a whole host of other sins with it.....and distancing themselves from God and the only help they have.
Remember, the church is compared to a great whore who has committed adultery with satan - read the Book of Revelation - He makes it very clear how He feels about that sin - yet , He is true to His Word....

3And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

This news story is fresh - but it caught my eye because I am being dealt with by God about how impossible it is to "do right" without the power of the Holy Ghost in us.....I was taught in my religion as a child that the Holy Ghost was something I received when I was baptized in the titles I was left with my disappointment that I was capable of still doing the things that were supposed to have gone under that water.....forever. I wanted to be holy - but my flesh warred with me constantly to not be holy. I was taught at church that if I went up and "rededicated" my life to Christ then things would be better - but they were not. I would do the accursed thing - then cry my eyes out from shame and disgust and longing to erase it altogether.....but, it lingered there, always being Satan's tool to whip me with - to make me believe that the reason I did it was because God had rejected me because I couldn't obey. When I looked to my church for a solution - I was assured that I was "all right" and shouldn't worry about it - that "no one is perfect"......and that God forgives ALL my sin because I was baptized.......never, ever did they tell me that I had to live holy of I could lose my salvation----they left that out of it completely - they just told me to "try" to do good, but that I was saved and safe even if I was sinning..
Some people are not as fortunate as me - to be able to see their sin and discern that it IS sin.....some people are plagued by subtle sin - so subtle that they don't even know they are committing it....till it's too late. For instance - have you ever been lonely? Did you watch t.v. shows about relationships, read romantic novels, entertain the loneliness? Did you find yourself looking for "love" in all the wrong places instead of throwing yourself into the Word of God and being of service to Him? Did you find that the relationship(s) you gained through this method were not lasting relationships which edified you and helped you walk closer with God? or, did you find that the relationship(s) you formed were godly and to the building up of your spirit and your service to God? 'Nuff said. A girlfriend of mine was single and longing to be married. She went to her pastor's wife crying and saying God had abandoned her and was not answering her prayers for a husband. The wife asked her what was she watching. She told her the names of the Soap Operas and shows she was watching - and the wife told her "there's your problem- those relationships are nothing godly - and they make you think that if you don't have that kind of relationship then something is wrong - when the truth is that if you shut off the t.v. and got into God's Word, things would change for you.....she did, they did....she's now married happily to a very godly man and God gave her a little girl to raise as her own - and gave her back a daughter she lost when she went to prison years before she knew Jesus.....God answers prayer - God does not tolerate disobedience.
Here's a man who obviously, out rightly hated - and if you will read the highlights I have noted here, you will see that the "law" itself is responsible for the deaths of the 4 officers - the "law" had this criminal where he belonged, but they let him go time and time again because of their confusion - that's what we do when we entertain sin and don't put aside our flesh and put in under submission to God's commands.....we bring confusion into our lives and we let the demons have their way when we go by the law of our flesh...- and it leads to our own spiritual death.....our own assassination

SEATTLE — A man suspected of fatally shooting four uniformed police officers was shot and killed by the police early Tuesday, after a manhunt that fanned out through Seattle and beyond, according to news reports.
In 2000, Gov. Mike Huckabee of Arkansas
· granted clemency to Mr. Clemmons after he had served 11 years of a 95-year sentence for robbery and burglary convictions on charges prosecuted when he was 17. That history continued to play a role in his prosecution in Washington this year, Pierce County prosecutors said.
After Mr. Clemmons was arrested in Pierce County in May on charges of assaulting officers who were investigating claims that he had broken neighbors’ windows with rocks,
· Arkansas issued a warrant for his arrest for violating conditions of his parole, said Stephen Penner, a deputy prosecuting attorney in Pierce County.
Mr. Clemmons was initially held without bail on the Arkansas warrant. In July, an Arkansas
· corrections official sent a letter revoking the hold and saying “appropriate action will be taken once the pending charges have been adjudicated.”
Without the hold from Arkansas, Mr. Penner said, the State Constitution
· allowed Mr. Clemmons the right to bail while the rape and assault charges were pending. He was released on $190,000 bail on Nov. 23, Mr. Penner said.
The officers who were killed were
Tina Griswold, 40;
Ronald Owens, 37;
Sgt. Mark Renninger, 39; and
Greg Richards, 42.
All left behind children and families, and they were mourned at makeshift memorials at the Lakewood Police Department, at a church vigil in Tacoma and on various Web sites, including Facebook.

praise?
May the praise be His......
as I read this, blessing it came to me that God is going to get the praise - even if the rocks have to do it for us.
I see so many people still living in their little bubbles - believing that their little cushy self-padded ways of praise and worship atuned to their own little quirks and opinions and untouchable and unaccountable to any authority here on earth ..... letting no man near enough to reveal to them their flawed perception of God's demands on our time and our devotion.....always afraid that someone might upset the delicate balance between what they believe and what really is.........
then there in Africa in a town of sixteen million people - one whole million of them drop whatever they are doing and run to one place just because someone said a "man of God was going to speak".....and they arrive there with no food, no shelter, no comfort, no complaining.........and praise God till they literally drop......
and I wonder that there are still any "bubbles" left at all.......How can a person in this plush, spoiled, gluttonous country even believe that God hears them when they wimp out a little "praise Jesus" between their trips to "lunch out" and "movies" and "marathon t.v." and other pamperings and personal preferences?????? How? Yet, each Sunday and at least one midweek service......trillions of churches preach this watered-down, unbiblical, "good" doctrine.......and the "bubblers" swallow it down like pablum.............to their destruction. Singing "I did it my way.........it reminds me of the people in the movie "Wall-E" as they waited out in space for earth to flower again......
Some of us are fortunate enough to have to deal with our own mortality along the way. and in doing so we learn to give ourselves a "check up from the neck up" and see ourselves for what we really are. I have just been thusly fortunate, and learned during this time of reflection that God is not pleased or interested in anything mediocre.....anything "personal"........that He is a God who will be worshipped and praised whether we do it or not.
Yet, there are still those who believe in the hype.....instead of the Word. The Word says Luke 19:
37And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
38Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
39And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
40And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
41And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
the hype says "Just make Jesus your Personal Savior....and you will be saved."

SEPTEMBER 11
Dear Loved One's -
8 years ago today - our "world" was shaken. You will all remember where you were - I had taken Willie to school and was going to have coffee when Marty called me from Oklahoma to tell me to turn on the t.v. and I saw both towers burning....then watched them fall down in perfect demolition pattern.
It was like the beginning of the end. No one I knew of then could believe it had happened to us.....If we could have known then where we would be now........would we have believed that?????
"Christian America" elected George Bush then went to sleep - content. When it woke up from it's long nap - it found that during his watch somehow our country was deflated and stuffed with cotton so as to appear that it was alright....THEN those who call themselves "christian" were furious, and wanted "change".....and didn't trust anyone who agreed with Bush.....now, we have a new president - duly elected by the American People - and those same "christians" are shaking in their boots realizing that we have given away our rights and privileges......and soon, our democracy.
God warned us with 911.....He did, but we didn't listen - we only heard what we wanted to hear - and now we will live with the end results of our willful ignorance.
What are you going to do when you realize that the true architects of the destruction of the World Trade Centers were the power brokers of our own U.S.A.? Don't worry, by the time you realize it - it will already be too late.
God is faithful. He never does anything without warning first His prophets......and those prophets are faithful to tell the people what He has said.....but the people - don't listen. We. the people, are constantly trying to get more for ourselves and protecting our own precious "privacy". We just want to do what we want to do and we don't want anyone telling us we cannot. Meanwhile - in the other countries, people just like us are suffering hunger, devastation, communism, abuse, no privacy at all.....and needing our help.....in our OWN country, right beside our churches.....we have people who are suffering the very same things......they are bereft.
The church? Where is the church????? Instead of "church: we have social organizations which "play" church on Sundays and Wednesdays then hide behind their tax exempt status to wheel and deal....someone gets rich - that's for sure. The "church" today doesn't preach the Bible - it teaches whatever the people need to hear to get them to continue in their sin and leave the "pastoring" to the "church".
What did we learn from 911????? Really!!! What did we learn????
God's church is still alive, but people don't want to go there because it teaches Truth, Responsibility, Sinlessness, Righteousness,......all the things the people want to avoid in order to feel good about their sin and comfortable in their privacy.........that's okay - only 8 people survived the great flood in Noah's time.....and only 2 people of the original tribe of Israel were permitted to enter the Promised Land.....God is not impressed with numbers......He even said that if we don't praise Him, the rocks will cry out.
In Jesus Name I pray that we all hear His voice by humbling ourselves before Him and allowing Him to create in us clean new hearts that will obey Him......amen.
p.s. unforgiveness will keep you out of heaven.

STRONG, BUT RIGHT???
Subject: PROFOUND SHORT PARAGRAPH
You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity . . . . What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving . . . . The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else . . . .. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation . . . .You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."*
* Adrian Rogers, 1931 – 2005 *
I received this and it sounded so “right”…..but something was wrong about it. I prayed. Here is my result…..
You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity . . . . yes, you can…Acts 2:43-45 (King James Version)
43And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
44And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving . . . . Matthew 20
1For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.
2And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
3And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
4And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.
5Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.
6And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
7They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.
8So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.
9And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.
10But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.
11And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,
12Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.
13But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?
14Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.
15Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?
16So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else . . .. Yes, if the government would humble itself before God and obey Him, it could give without having to take from somebody else first....: Malachi 3:9-11 (King James Version)
9Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
10Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, and none of the people of either persuasion are willing to humble themselves before the Lord and obey His commandments….that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation . . . .You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it." Matthew 19:25-27 (King James Version)
25When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
26But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. *

Hebrews 13:8
(King James Version)
8Jesus Christ
the same
yesterday,and
to day,and
for ever.--
2009...the year of "change".
Things are "changing" so fast that our heads are spinning around just to keep up with the daily news of events. The only way to make sure that we are "safe" is to keep the never-changing Word of God handy as our guidebook and to make sure our hearts are humbled and obedient to God's voice.
"Safe"? Safe from what? Does it just sound like I am trying to spook everyone? Like I have nothing better to do than to speak negative things all the time? Well, let's examine what I am saying in this blog:
"No matter what the world is doing - it is contrary to what God says to do and therefore must not be followed. In Jesus Name I pray that you begin today to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, realizing that the God of Love is serious and must be obeyed." "guilt? unconfessed sin. Repentance is the beginning - only the beginning. That is why so many who believe they are safe - continue in their sin after the wonderful free feeling of being forgiven - without the power of God's presence in your life you cannot stop sinning.....you cannot continue sinning and consider yourself to be "safe"..... "here we clearly see that the religious Jews were never promised a "king" as they presumed....they were promised one that was lowly, and riding upon an ass.....He came and the religious Jews still don't believe it...we must pray against "religion" and that our loved one's have their understanding opened in Jesus Name." "Isaiah 1: 28And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed. 29For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen. 30For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water. 31And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them."
We are seeing with our own eyes the dizzying current events - which happen so fast, so consecutively that they are hard, very hard, to keep up with and put into perspective. The Bible, however, does not "change" and is faithful to report the history of God's plan from the beginning.
This is the day to begin - if you have not already - to take God's Word seriously. This is the day to decide to begin to walk as He says walk and to put down all that is not of Him. Today is the day to examine how the Apostle's lived after Christ ascended into heaven - after He had spent the time between His resurrection and his ascension teaching them exactly what He wanted them to do in His absence and until He comes again to take those who are His to be with Him forever.. In doing so, you will find what it is that you must do to get into covenant with Christ so that you can walk with Him and please Him.
Psalms 51:10 and James 4:10 - ask God to open your understanding as you read His Word - and be ready to do what He says do......in Jesus Name, amen.

Here's a little study on Jesus starting in Isaiah.....
Isaiah 1:27Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
Psalm 48:2 (King James Version) 2Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
Zechariah 9:9 (King James Version) 9Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. here we clearly see that the religious Jews were never promised a "king" as they presumed....they were promised one that was lowly, and riding upon an ass.....He came and the religious Jews still don't believe it...we must pray against "religion" and that our loved one's have their understanding opened in Jesus Name.
Matthew 21:6-8 (King James Version) 6And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, 7And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. 8And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.
John 12:13-15 (King James Version) 13Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. 14And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written, 15Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.
John 12:14-16 (King James Version) 14And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written, 15Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt. 16These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

John 1:1 (King James Version)John 1 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 (King James Version) 14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 12:48 (King James Version) 48He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Isaiah 1 (King James Version)Isaiah 1 1The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. 2Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me. 3The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider. 4Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. 5Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. 6From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment. 7Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers. 8And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city. 9Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah. 10Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah. 11To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. 12When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? 13Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. 14Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.
Mark 7:13 (King James Version) 13Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
15And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. 16Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; 17Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. 18Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: 20But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. 21How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers. 22Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water: 23Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them. 24Therefore saith the LORD, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies: 25And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin: 26And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city. 27Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness. 28And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed. 29For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen. 30For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water. 31And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.

Sunday morning we were blessed to hear Bro. Gregg teach us about "confirmation". It was an eye-opening moment for us about how the Word of God confirms so many things that we are still wanting to "hear" God tell us in confirmation. But, how will we know this if we don't study the Word of God??? When God says "no" in scripture - then there's no sense in keeping on asking Him to give you a "yes".
After church, my daughter and I were blessed to have the opportunity to be schooled by a young man who has grown in the Grace of God very quickly, and who showed us verses to prove the importance of baptism - the necessity of baptism in Jesus Name as the scriptures require.
This young man, Murray, took us first to Acts 8:26-40 and showed us how when the Eunuch heard the Gospel of the Kingdom from Phillip, his first reply was "what hinders me from being baptized?" That's how important it was to the Eunuch to be baptized in Jesus Name - He couldn't wait. Phillip baptized him, then was translated away back to where he was when God took him out into the desert to bring that Eunuch into the Kingdom.
I've long loved that story, especially since the Eunuch was reading the book of Isaiah - and, Phillip started right where he was in Isaiah and PREACHED UNTO HIM JESUS......proving for me once and for all time that Jesus is God and that was Jesus speaking in Isaiah when he said ( Isaiah 50:5-7 (King James Version)
5The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.
6I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.
7For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed) When I first heard this verse I rejoiced, because I was in a church that preached from the pulpit on down that men with beards would go to hell.....and this verse clearly stated that Jesus had enough hair on His own face that they plucked it out....
As I've come along the Road to Truth, I've come through many bogs and swampy areas - but God's Word has always been faithful to guide me through all of that and keep me hungry for more Truth.
Back in 1987 in Miami, Florida, I heard the Gospel of Christ Jesus preached by a young pastor named Clarence Harris - and I studied the Word with he and his wife Althea. When I realized the Acts 2:38 formula was what Jesus gave the Apostles and what was honored throughout the entire New Testament, I was re-baptized in Jesus Name. Not too long after that I received the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. I had a 5-pack-a-day cigarette habit at that time, and when I realized that it was hindering me from praying, I asked for prayer. They prayed for me in Jesus Name, and my habit was gone. Even after that, I backslid and was caught in that backsliding when Hurricane Andrew came and took our home...and we had to take what we could in a duffle bag, and get on a bus, and go to Fort Worth, Texas, where my oldest son was in the Air Force.
I tried to pray, but my prayers hit the ceiling and fell down on me again.....and, I was alone with the misery of having lost our home, having to travel half-way across the U.S. to live with the help of the Red Cross and other charities until we could get jobs and begin to take up our own expenses. God never forsook me, but God did not let me get up until I had repented and started to walk towards Him again. Also, God did not allow me to just coast back in and slide into position - He caused me to have to read His Word and consider my ways against what He commanded. My hearts desire was to get back to my pastor and his wife where I could continue learning Truth without any frills or additions or subtractions......because whichever church we went to where we had come to Fort Worth, Texas , we got those frills, additions and subtractions.....the Word AND......the Word BUT.....when all I wanted was THE WORD.
It took 11 years, but God finally allowed me to come back to my base - and here I am growing again, and learning daily to trust in God for everything.
I followed God's commandment on baptism - He kept His promise with me. Each day He confirms through His Word that when I obey Him, He keeps His promises towards me.......what more could I want?
After church, my daughter and I were blessed to have the opportunity to be schooled by a young man who has grown in the Grace of God very quickly, and who showed us verses to prove the importance of baptism - the necessity of baptism in Jesus Name as the scriptures require.

guilt? unconfessed sin. Repentance is the beginning - only the beginning. That is why so many who believe they are safe - continue in their sin after the wonderful free feeling of being forgiven - without the power of God's presence in your life you cannot stop sinning.....you cannot continue sinning and consider yourself safe.....

Be Careful what you Believe
What you believe can mean the difference between life and death - between eternity in hell and eternity with Jesus. From Genesis through Revelation Jesus has taught us of Himself - God in the Spirit and in the Flesh...to find out where it's "at" and what you should be doing now - read the Word of God. The Book of Acts is the history of the beginning of the one true church, and every book after it is written to that same church, spread out to different cities, all abiding in the same Apostles' Doctrine given to them by Jesus Himself before He ascended into Heaven to the throne. Doing what they did and saying what they said is obedience to God, and He will guide you into all Truth through it.
No matter what the world is doing - it is contrary to what God says to do and therefore must not be followed. In Jesus Name I pray that you begin today to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, realizing that the God of Love is serious and must be obeyed.
Begin with Psalms 51:10 and James 4:10 as you pray to make sure that you have humbled yourself to the point that you can worship rightly......amen.

Time for Bible Study
It's time to go to Bible Study - every Tuesday night at the little church on the corner of Barnett Shoals and Norton - outside of Watkinsville, Ga.
We are blessed to have Bishop Clarence Harris to teach us. He and his family just returned from New York where they attended a huge family reunion. We were blessed Sunday to hear the Word from Bro. Ignatius Angarawaii, from Nigeria, and he taught us about Perfecting Holiness - dynamite!! Must get ready now or I will miss tonight's study --
